Half a world away
An antipode has the opposite latitude and a longitude 180 degrees away. Tokyo at 35.6762° N, 139.6503° E becomes 35.6762° S, 40.3497° W, in the South Atlantic.
The distances are the same for every pair of antipodes: half Earth's circumference along the surface, or its diameter through the center. These are approximations using a spherical Earth with a mean radius of 6,371 km.
